O-ring is a rubber seal with a circular cross section, used to seal various fluids such as air, water, oil, etc. Because its cross section is O-shaped, it is called O-shaped rubber seal, also known as O-ring. It is the most widely used component in hydraulic and pneumatic transmission systems. It is mainly used in mechanical parts to prevent leakage of liquid and gas media under static conditions. O-Ring Size:
O-rings have three sizes: ID (Inside Diameter), OD (Outside Diameter) and CS/W (Cross Section/Width). Usually, it is sufficient to specify the ID and CS. A standard O-ring size will be given, for example ID20 x CS 2 mm. From the right picture, you can quickly understand that OD = ID + Cross Section * 2

Product Application:
Mainly used in mechanical parts to prevent leakage of liquid and gas media under static conditions. In some cases, O-rings can also be used as axial dynamic seals for reciprocating motion and low-speed rotary motion.

However, considering cost and easy identification, it is usually recommended to choose several commonly used colors, such as black for NBR, green for HNBR, brown for FKM, red/transparent (clear)/silicone for white, FVMQ for blue, PU for yellow, etc. If you order unique colors that are not commonly used, it may increase costs and require a larger minimum order quantity and longer delivery time.
